This particular Rolls-Royce Wraith, customized by Mansory and with a notable celebrity background, is in a dire condition. It has suffered significant damage due to a crash involving its previous owner, Premier League football star Marcus Rashford. The vehicle is now up for sale on the UK version of Copart, Salvage Market.
Before the accident, Rashford owned another Rolls-Royce, a less expensive Black Badge Cullinan, and later acquired a much pricier 1-of-62 Cullinan Blue Shadow. The crashed Wraith, which underwent further customization by Mansory, met its unfortunate fate last year while Rashford was heading home from practice at Manchester United’s Carrington training grounds.
The collision occurred when another vehicle struck the Wraith, causing it to collide with a bollard before coming to a stop on an island. Thankfully, neither Rashford nor the other driver, a 74-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries. However, the same cannot be said for the car itself. Extensive damage is evident in the photos available on the auction site, although the vehicle is still operational. However, driving it would require additional investment.
Despite its current state, the wrecked vehicle has garnered significant interest. The appeal may lie in the Mansory modifications and the car’s association with a renowned football star, or perhaps a combination of both. As of now, the highest bid stands at £153,000 ($192,800 at the current exchange rate). Alternatively, it could be the initial valuation of £700,000 ($882,200) that has potential buyers reaching for their wallets.
The auction is set to conclude on February 26, and it is unlikely that Rashford himself is directly involved in the sale. Typically, it is the insurer who puts a crashed vehicle previously owned by a celebrity up for auction in an effort to recoup some of the losses. This mirrors a similar situation from last month when actor Michael B. Jordan’s crashed Ferrari 812 Superfast was sold.
Rashford is unlikely to feel a significant loss with the absence of the customized Wraith, despite its beauty and high price tag. At just 26 years old, the Manchester United forward has already amassed an impressive personal collection of luxury vehicles, many of which are customized. Local media reports suggest that his collection is the most expensive among Premier League players. In addition to the aforementioned Black Badge Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Cullinan Blue Shadow, his collection includes a black and white McLaren 765LT, a Cadillac Escalade V Series, an Audi RSQ8, and a customized olive-green Lamborghini Urus.
