It seems that certain FCS programs may have unintentionally revealed information about the upcoming college football video game. EA Sports recently released the trailer for “College Football 25,” marking the first new game in over ten years. Fans are beyond thrilled, to say the least. However, details about the game are still unknown, with more information promised in May. One burning question on fans’ minds is whether FCS teams will be included, as they were in the older versions of the game.
Interestingly, a Reddit thread went viral on Saturday night, highlighting an important observation: several FCS programs were either hinting or outright stating their involvement in the new game. This contradicts earlier reports that FCS teams would not be featured. While nothing has been confirmed officially, the social media posts strongly suggest otherwise.

One intriguing aspect of this situation is that Gardner-Webb initially posted about their inclusion in “College Football 25,” but later deleted the post, according to the Reddit thread. They then shared a more ambiguous post. You can see a screenshot of the deleted post and a tweet of the new one below.

Now, what should fans make of all this? Honestly, there’s no definitive answer because we can’t be certain. Was it a coordinated effort by FCS schools? It’s possible, but it seems unlikely. Could it be that programs simply wanted to join in on the excitement? That’s very plausible. Or do these programs possess insider information that the rest of us are unaware of and decided to share it?
The most intriguing part is Gardner-Webb’s actions – first claiming inclusion, then retracting. It’s quite peculiar.
We’ll have to wait until May for more information, but the prospect of FCS teams being featured in the game is exciting. Personally, I would love to include Montana State in the Big Ten and create an unstoppable dynasty in Bozeman, just like I did in the previous games. It would be a dream come true. Of course, there’s also the possibility that this will all turn out to be insignificant. Share your thoughts and theories with me at David.Hookstead@.
