The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be participating in the upcoming college football video game.
The game, titled “College Football 25,” is set to be released in July and marks the return of college football video games after an 11-year hiatus.
Fans are incredibly excited about this news, especially because the game will feature real players thanks to the new NIL rules allowing payments. The exact amount of money each player will receive has yet to be determined.
Initially, there were issues surrounding the inclusion of Notre Dame in the game, leading the school to release a statement in 2021 stating that the Fighting Irish would not be featured. However, the school has since reversed its decision.
In an official statement released on Thursday, Notre Dame’s athletic director, Jack Swarbrick, announced that the school had worked with EA Sports for nearly two years and is proud to have the Fighting Irish included in the upcoming College Football franchise.
It seems like all the pieces are falling into place for “College Football 25” to be an outstanding game. Fans have been buzzing with excitement ever since the teaser announcement was made.
Personally, I’m so excited about this game that I’m planning to buy a PS5, despite not being much of a video game person. But when it comes to college football, I can’t resist. There’s a thrill in winning national titles and building dynasties.
After initially holding out, Notre Dame’s inclusion in the game is music to the ears of fans everywhere. Let’s hope the game lives up to its hype, and stay tuned for any updates. Share your thoughts with me at David.Hookstead@
