The San Francisco 49ers may not have the highest number of Super Bowl victories in the league, but they certainly possess one of the most renowned franchises in all of sports.
For years, they have consistently boasted one of the top athletes in the game, a superstar who attracts Bay Area fans to purchase tickets and keeps their dreams of securing another Vince Lombardi trophy alive.
This is why compiling a list of the greatest players to ever wear their jersey is no easy task, but NFL analyst Peter Schrager appears to have risen to the challenge.
In the past, I would have published a list like this online with a slideshow and numerous clicks.
Well, just for nostalgia’s sake. Enjoy, 49ers fans. pic.twitter.com/UkuBslmiEP

Earlier on Friday, the “Good Morning Football” commentator took to Twitter to reveal his top-10 Niners of all time, with Frank Gore, Roger Craig, Terrell Owens, Bryant Young, and Patrick Willis included from No. 10-6.
Charles Haley secured the fifth spot, which may come as a surprise, considering the fact that the legendary defender only spent six seasons with the team during his initial tenure before returning.
As expected, the iconic Steve Young claimed the fourth position after leading the team back to success and carrying on Joe Montana’s legacy.
Ronnie Lott, widely regarded as one of the greatest safeties in football history, was unsurprisingly included in this list.
And just as most fans anticipated, the legendary duo of Jerry Rice and Joe Montana claimed the second and first spots, respectively.
