Carolina Panthers forward Seth Jarvis is known for his lively personality in the NHL. During his recent media availability, he once again demonstrated why he has earned such a reputation.
Over the weekend, the NHL held its All-Star festivities, an event that many players aspire to participate in. Being named an All-Star is considered a great honor within the league.
However, Jarvis, despite not being selected by the league, still had a chance to make it to the game through a fan vote. Surprisingly, he discouraged his fans from voting for him, as he expressed his desire to go to Mexico instead.
“I’ve got a non-refundable trip now. I’m totally set on warm weather, but I still do appreciate all the effort,” he humorously remarked.
As a result, Jarvis did not attend the All-Star Game, which took place in Toronto with a high temperature of 37 degrees. Instead, he jetted off to Mexico for a vacation.
When asked about how he spent his time there, Jarvis claimed to have primarily focused on working out in the gym and abstaining from alcohol. However, he slipped up and hinted that he may have indulged in a few adult beverages during his getaway.
A reporter began to ask him if he had sweated out all the beer, but Jarvis swiftly interrupted, stating, “I don’t drink, so there’s nothing to sweat out. I was in the gym, most of the time, just taking care of my body.”
Initially, it appeared that Jarvis was genuinely offended by the question, but a mischievous smile soon appeared on his face. He then jokingly remarked, “I hope I sweated out all the beer. I think it’s all gone,” eliciting laughter from the gathered media.
Well done, Seth. I hope you had an amazing time in Mexico. You certainly deserve it.
