No team with an open head coaching position conducted more thorough research than the Atlanta Falcons. They extensively interviewed numerous notable candidates before ultimately selecting Raheem Morris as Arthur Smith’s successor. Despite considering high-profile candidates like Bill Belichick and Jim Harbaugh multiple times, the Falcons organization chose to hire Morris, the former defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams. As the Falcons’ new head coach, Morris faces the challenge of guiding the franchise back on track and making necessary moves during the NFL offseason.
When asked about his perspective on the Falcons’ future roster, Morris wasted no time highlighting two of the team’s most talented young offensive players: Bijan Robinson and Drake London, according to B/R Gridiron. Falcons fantasy managers can rejoice, as the touches for Bijan and London are on the horizon.
In the previous year, the Falcons made a bold decision by selecting Robinson from the University of Texas as the eighth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. This move surprised many, considering the recent devaluation of running backs in the league. However, Atlanta’s choice to bring in Robinson appears to be paying off, as he fell just 24 yards short of reaching 1,000 rushing yards in his debut season and displayed immense potential when given the opportunity to carry the ball.
Meanwhile, London had another impressive year, recording 69 receptions for a career-high 905 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. These numbers are likely to increase significantly if Morris and his team can secure an improved quarterback for the Falcons.
