In recent weeks, the name of former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher has once again gained popularity on social media. One of the main reasons for this is his involvement in the 2020 hit-and-run incident, the trial for which is still ongoing.
Erickson, along with his former partner, is currently under scrutiny for their role in the tragic death of two young individuals. Grossman’s legal representatives have now accused the former baseball player and argued that he should face prosecution similar to their client.
For those unaware, on September 29, 2020, Grossman and Erickson met for a meal. Afterward, they drove around in separate vehicles. During this time, Grossman was reportedly under the influence and struck two children, aged 11 and 8.
The two children tragically lost their lives as a result of the collision with Grossman’s white SUV. Prosecutors claim that Erickson challenged her to a car race. Grossman then swiftly fled the scene, leading to charges of hit-and-run, vehicle manslaughter, and second-degree murder.
The incident that occurred on September 29, 2020, shocked many individuals across the nation. The defense has now alleged that Scott Erickson was hiding in bushes during the incident and argued that the wrong person is on trial.
According to reports, he has been accused of driving alongside Rebecca Grossman. The defense has pointed fingers at the 56-year-old pitcher.

During the trial, Buzbee shocked the court by providing a detailed description of Erickson and asking witnesses if they had seen anyone hiding in the bushes. However, no witnesses reported seeing an individual matching his description.
