Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O’Connell has revealed that the team unanimously supported the decision to hire Antonio Pierce as the full-time head coach. The players, including team captain Maxx Crosby, were in favor of Pierce’s retention and Crosby even threatened a trade request if he wasn’t kept. Despite some close losses, the Raiders went 5-4 under Pierce’s interim coaching.
Aidan O’Connell began the 2023 season as the third quarterback on the depth chart, but after Josh McDaniels was fired in Week 9, he was given the opportunity to lead the offense. O’Connell faced some challenges but showed improvement in his final four starts, going 3-1 and throwing eight touchdowns with zero interceptions. This performance puts him in contention to be the starting quarterback for the upcoming Raiders season.
Aidan O’Connell and wide receiver Jakobi Meyers recently attended Radio Row in Las Vegas to discuss their partnership with Bounty and the importance of paper towels on Super Bowl gameday. Both players expressed their long-standing use of Bounty and their appreciation for the brand.
