The renowned manufacturer of high-end superyachts has unveiled the first images for Silver Ocean, showcasing a sophisticated watercraft inspired by the worlds of aviation and automotive design. The new yacht’s appearance combines sleek, elongated lines with dynamic elements that give the illusion of continuous movement, even when stationary.
The Italian design studio responsible for this concept believes that a successful yacht design must first and foremost have the right proportions to make it instantly recognizable. They applied the same principle when creating Silver Ocean, which features “an elusive look, with the overhangs in particular enhancing this perception.”
The profile of the yacht includes three distinctive lines that originated from the studio’s initial concept sketches and have now become “slits” of light that define Silver Ocean when at anchor, according to Enrico Gobbi, the studio’s spokesperson.
In this particular design, the studio focused on creating expansive outdoor spaces with no obstructive structural elements on the aft decks, ensuring unobstructed ocean views and a seamless flow. The main deck boasts a large pool with a glass barrier, providing a unique swimming experience and offering guests panoramic views of the surrounding ocean, as if they were swimming in the sea.
On the lower deck, a luxurious beach club is divided into three areas, each offering opulent amenities. These include a panoramic Jacuzzi, a central lounge area, and gym facilities.
Specific details about the interior are limited, with the designer only mentioning that the owner’s master suite on Silver Ocean will have a private terrace with a pool and a staircase leading to the helipad at the front. However, it is known that the yachts in the Simply Custom series will provide between 2,500 and 2,700 GT of interior volume and typically have the owner’s suite on the upper deck, accompanied by six guest staterooms on the main deck, which can be customized based on the owner’s preferences.
Like other yachts in the Simply Custom Collection, Gobbi’s Silver Ocean will feature a highly efficient hull by Lateral Naval Architects and hybrid diesel-electric propulsion systems. In terms of performance, the vessel is expected to reach a top speed of 16.5 knots and have a cruising speed between 14 and 15 knots.
Oceanco’s new Simply Custom Collection, initially introduced at last year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, was developed by the Dutch yard to provide future owners with a more streamlined approach to yacht design and a shorter construction time. The collection consists of 17 semi-custom superyachts created by renowned designers on the yard’s established naval platform. This innovative type of customizable superyacht ensures that the luxury vessels are built on a reliable technical foundation while offering endless customization options.
