In a surprising turn of events, the Tesla Cybertruck has once again managed to capture our attention. This time, it was spotted cruising down a rainy highway in Texas with a television mounted on its tailgate. The television was even playing what appeared to be a commercial or video game, adding to the intrigue.
The footage was captured by Jennifer Portillo, who was traveling with her family at the time. She expressed her surprise at the sight of a TV on a Cybertruck, stating that it seemed to come out of nowhere. The vehicle garnered a lot of attention from onlookers, many of whom had never seen the Cybertruck in person before. Its unique angular design alone was enough to turn heads wherever it went.
Although the Cybertruck has only been delivered to a select few customers since November 30th, it has already made quite an impression on the road. With a load bed capable of carrying up to 2,500 pounds (1,100 kilograms) and measuring 6 feet long, the truck could have transported any television. However, it is clear that the owner wanted to make a statement, most likely using the TV for advertising purposes. The video of this unusual sight was uploaded to YouTube by The Su.
One might wonder how the TV on the tailgate was able to function. The answer is quite simple – there are three outlet plugs located at the back of the Cybertruck, two of which are 110V and one is 220V. This means that the vehicle is capable of powering a wide range of devices, including televisions. In fact, we have recently seen examples of people setting up and operating coffee shops from the rear of the Cybertruck, drawing in a crowd of eager customers.
Inside the Cybertruck, there is an impressive 18.5-inch touchscreen display. This touchscreen controls the majority of the vehicle’s functions, as the cabin layout is minimalistic, with only a few buttons found on the steering wheel. Among its many features, the screen even allows users to virtually smash the windows of the pickup truck. This feature harkens back to an incident in November 2019, when Elon Musk attempted to demonstrate the truck’s durability by having the Design Chief shatter the windows with a steel ball and sledgehammer. However, this time around, the windows remained intact.
