It’s no surprise, then, that Ultra G, known as Project SkyFall during its construction, was hailed as Heesen’s finest yacht to date when it was delivered to its owner in late 2023. Heesen has produced around 170 vessels in their nearly five decades of existence, including both standard models and customized units, so this accolade is sure to attract attention.
Ultra G lives up to the hype, thankfully.
Heesen refers to Ultra G as a “powerful custom motor yacht,” which is perhaps a more accurate description than the one given by industry publications.
Based on the patented Van Oossanen Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) naval architecture, it is a fully customized model from the series of the same name. The interior design was carefully curated by British firm Harrison Eidsgaard, and while it is primarily a sportfishing yacht, it also embodies the elegance of a gentleman’s yacht.
Ultra G sits at the intersection of a luxurious superyacht and a fishing vessel, drawing inspiration from Heesen’s sportfishing yachts from the 1990s. It features an all-aluminum hull and superstructure, as well as powerful engines that allow for impressive speeds.
With a total length of 197 feet (60 meters), it can accommodate up to ten guests in four suites, with the master suite located on its own private deck. Separate quarters are provided for a crew of 14. As a fully customized build, the layout was developed in close collaboration with the owner, resulting in some unconventional choices.
For example, despite being a luxury superyacht, Ultra G does not have a beach club. Instead, it boasts an exceptionally sophisticated fishing platform equipped with storage space for 40 fishing rods, ice lockers, freezers, live wells, and flushing systems. Additionally, there is an outdoor Fisherman’s Lounge where guests can relax on large sofas and share fishing stories while watching live feeds from underwater cameras.
The identity of Ultra G’s owner has never been revealed, but it is known that they are a billionaire with a passion for sportfishing. Up until now, the owner has kept the interior of their recently-delivered superyacht a closely guarded secret, and understandably so. If they can afford the annual maintenance, there is no need to put Ultra G on the charter market.
Only a select few members of the press have been granted access to the yacht, which explains the scarcity of photos showcasing its elegant interiors. SuperYacht Times was recently given the opportunity to step aboard, resulting in a breathtaking video tour that can be viewed below. It provides glimpses of the spectacular features that have already been described in the media, but it is always a treat to see them in person.

The Ultra G superyacht boasts an extraordinary cinema room, featuring Samsung’s remarkable The Wall All-in-One 146″ 4K screen. This exclusive entertainment space, referred to as the media room, can serve as a private cinema or a gaming area. Additionally, it is equipped with a poker table, a karaoke machine, and the ability to stream video from underwater cameras, allowing for a unique party experience in different settings.
In terms of hosting gatherings, the yacht offers various areas suitable for different types of events. The open-plan salon provides an elegant setting for formal soirees, including fine dining and wine tasting. It is equipped with temperature-controlled wine fridges, a professional sound system, and a DJ deck. For a more lively atmosphere, the upper deck lounge, located adjacent to the media room, features DJ decks, speakers, foam and smoke machines, and disco lights.
A notable feature of the Ultra G is the pet-friendly “relief area,” which is an industry-first according to Heesen. This area is a designated space with artificial grass on one of the wraparound terraces, allowing guests to walk their dogs without concern for cleanliness. The area is equipped with sensors that activate sprinklers to clean up after the pets.
In addition to these unique features, the yacht also offers more traditional amenities. These include formal dining areas, alfresco dining spaces, a conversation lounge, a wellness area with facilities such as a sauna, steam room, and snow room, a pool, a jacuzzi, and ample tanning spaces. All of these areas are elegantly designed, although some may consider them to have a slightly masculine aesthetic.
The Ultra G is not only Heesen’s finest yacht but also its fastest. Powered by 22,000 hp MTU diesel engines, it can reach a top speed of 37 knots (42.5 mph/68.5 kph), while still providing a smooth and enjoyable experience for those on board.
Having undergone sea trials and delivered to its owner in late 2023, the Ultra G is now considered one of the most stunning and swiftest superyachts in its size category. Its allure is heightened by its air of secrecy, making this rare glimpse inside all the more captivating.
