Charles Barkley expressed his strong opinions about Skip Bayless during an episode of The Dan Patrick Show. Barkley, a former NBA player, has been critical of the Fox Sports personality in the past. During his appearance on the show, Barkley didn’t hold back and openly stated his dislike for Bayless.
Barkley specifically took issue with Bayless’ recent comments about Bill Belichick and his role in the success of the New England Patriots dynasty. Bayless had suggested that Belichick’s success was largely due to Tom Brady’s contributions. Barkley vehemently disagreed with this viewpoint.
When asked why he continued to watch shows featuring sports analysts he disliked, Barkley clarified that he didn’t actually watch them himself. He explained that people would send him clips or “hot takes” from the analysts, which is how he became aware of Bayless’ comments.
Barkley also defended Belichick against claims of being overrated. Despite not winning a Super Bowl since Brady’s departure, Barkley argued that a coach who led his team to nine Super Bowls can never be considered overrated.
Tom Brady, who left the Patriots to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over four years ago, recently addressed his strained relationship with Belichick in an Apple TV+ series called “The Dynasty: New England Patriots.” Brady revealed that he chose not to re-sign with the Patriots due to disagreements with Belichick’s handling of certain matters.
Throughout their nearly two-decade partnership in New England, it appears that Brady grew weary of Belichick’s approach towards the end of his time with the Patriots.
