Dennis Rodman, Michael Jordan, and Scottie Pippen formed a formidable trio during their tenure with the Chicago Bulls. Rodman, who had already won two NBA championships with the Detroit Pistons, played a crucial role in the Bulls’ second three-peat in the late ’90s. He brought his winning experience to the team and played a significant part in their success. During his time in Chicago, Rodman added three more championships to his collection, bringing his total to five rings throughout his career.
Rodman, along with basketball icons Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, comprised one of the most dominant trios in NBA history. While their performance on the court was unstoppable, Rodman revealed that their relationship off the court was not as cordial. In a recent interview, Rodman expressed:
“I had exceptional defensive skills and was a dominant force on the boards, leading the league in rebounds per game for seven consecutive seasons. I also received the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award twice during my illustrious career.”
During an appearance on ESPN’s First Take in 2020, Rodman admitted that his sole focus during his time with the Bulls was winning championships alongside Jordan and Pippen. He didn’t pay much attention to anything else on the court. Although he acknowledged a lack of communication with his teammates off the court, the five-time champion revealed that he now maintains a strong relationship with both Pippen and Jordan. He stated:
“Despite the reported strained relationship between Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, I remain hopeful for a reconciliation among all three former Chicago Bulls legends.”
