Following India’s declaration at 430/4, the dismissal of the English opener by the wicketkeeper sparked a collapse on Sunday (February 18) at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.
This incident occurred early in England’s second innings on Day 4. In the seventh over, Duckett played a flick shot off Jasprit Bumrah towards mid-wicket and attempted a single. However, his opening partner Zak Crawley halted him halfway, causing Duckett to hurriedly retreat, but it was too late.
Mohammed Siraj retrieved the ball and aimed at the stumps. Jurel, positioned behind the wickets, swiftly collected the ball and dislodged the bails after executing a knee slide, displaying his exceptional presence of mind.
Social media users are sharing the video to commend the young player’s skills. Irfan Pathan, the former Indian cricketer, described the run out as one of the finest in Test cricket.
