Susie Wolff, the Managing Director of the F1 Academy, has announced that she has filed a criminal complaint against the FIA regarding their investigation into her and her husband, Toto, over an alleged conflict of interest. The FIA had previously stated that they were looking into the exchange of confidential information between two parties, without naming any specific individuals. Toto Wolff, who has been the team principal of Mercedes since 2013, and Susie Wolff, who oversees the all-female F1 Academy series, both denied the allegations and criticized the FIA for not informing them about the investigation. The other nine teams in Formula 1 also released a collective statement denying any involvement in prompting the FIA’s action. The FIA later stated that there was no ongoing investigation and that they were satisfied with the procedures in place to prevent conflicts of interest. However, Susie Wolff has now taken to her social media platforms to express her belief that those responsible for initiating the probe should be held accountable. She revealed that she personally filed a criminal complaint in the French courts on March 4th, emphasizing the importance of calling out improper behavior and ensuring that people are held responsible. This development comes as the FIA has cleared President Mohammed Ben Sulayem of any interference allegations.
