Emma Raducanu has returned to London after a disappointing exit in Doha, where she practiced at the National Tennis Centre. She started her Middle East tour in Abu Dhabi with a round-of-16 appearance before competing in the WTA 1000 event in Doha. Despite receiving a wildcard entry into the Doha main draw, Raducanu suffered a tough 0-6 6-7 (6) loss to Anhelina Kalinina.
After her defeat in Doha, Raducanu openly expressed her disappointment with her performance and decided to skip the upcoming WTA 1000 event in Dubai. Instead, she chose to head back home to analyze her game and work on the practice court before her next tournament.
Emma Raducanu is currently in the UK for training, set to practice in London with LTA national coach Colin Beecher. A detailed report on Raducanu’s recent form and future plans will be released soon.
Prior to Doha, Raducanu had shown promise in her first three tournaments post-surgeries but faced her first early exit of the season in Doha. She acknowledged struggling with various aspects of her game against Kalinina and admitted to feeling out of rhythm in her match. Raducanu acknowledged the need to adjust her tournament schedule and focus on gaining more match experience moving forward.
