The Los Angeles Clippers are currently the most successful team in the NBA.
Having won 20 out of their last 25 games, it appears that Tyronn Lue’s squad has finally found their rhythm.
Moreover, they have managed to stay injury-free, which has historically been a major obstacle for this franchise.
However, despite their impressive performance this season, Richard Sherman remains unconvinced.
During an appearance on Undisputed, the former Super Bowl champion expressed his skepticism towards the Clippers’ hype, citing previous instances where the team had shown promise.
“I need to witness their success in the playoffs before I can believe in it,” Sherman asserted.
Sherman’s doubts stem from the Lob City era, when the Clippers, led by Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, consistently fell short in the postseason.
Furthermore, he believes that the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Oklahoma City Thunder should not be overlooked in the competitive Western Conference.
Undoubtedly, it is reasonable to approach the Clippers with caution.
Setting aside their past struggles, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have yet to demonstrate their ability to stay healthy during the playoffs since joining forces.
Their performance in the bubble was far from impressive, and it seems that either one or both of them are often plagued by injuries when it matters most.
There is no denying that the Clippers possess a talented roster and a skilled coach, making them strong contenders.
Ultimately, their success will be determined by their ability to perform when it truly counts.
