Ghosts are believed to be supernatural apparitions, appear frightening, and produce peculiar sounds. This particular Dodge Charger, which is over fifty years old, fits that description. However, it is now referred to as the “Ghost” by SpeedKore Performance, a custom shop and carbon fiber specialist based in Wisconsin, who wants to emphasize that “the supernatural is real.”
The vehicle, painted in a ghostly shade of bright white, stands out from the company’s previous dark-painted Chargers. It has been reinvented and restored, making it suitable for both the drag strip and street use.
To enhance its eerie appearance, the car features a Black Cherakote finished billet aluminum grille and LED headlights. Additionally, SpeedKore has custom-made a carbon rear light panel for this model.
Carbon fiber is also prominently used throughout the car. It covers the dashboard, the custom center console which houses a powerful 2000-watt sound system, and even the bucket seats.

At first glance, this car looks like a Charger, sounds like a Charger, and drives like a Charger. However, it is not an exact replica of a 1970s model. In fact, it represents a redefinition of American muscle. Jim Kacmarcik, the President of SpeedKore, proudly calls it “the most advanced 1970 Charger in the world.” Let’s examine why he makes such a bold claim.
Almost every visible component of this car is made from carbon fiber. The body and floor are built around a customized steel chassis, which is wider and has a longer wheelbase compared to the stock Charger. Despite its increased size, the use of carbon fiber ensures that the vehicle remains lightweight, possibly even lighter than the original.
Gone is the original 426 Hemi V8 engine that the car originally had. It has been replaced by a 6.2-liter (370 cubic-inch) Hellcat V8, which supposedly produces more power than the 2024 Charger: 707 horsepower. This power is transmitted to the rear axle through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission.
SpeedKore Performance Group has developed custom headers and an exhaust system equipped with Magnaflow mufflers, providing the car with a sound that matches its appearance and newfound performance capabilities.

For added rigidity and safety, a 14-point roll cage has been installed. The model has also been equipped with a Detroit Speed double A-arms suspension for improved handling, Penske dual adjustable coilers on all corners, and Brembo brakes that offer superior stopping power compared to the stock setup.
The modified Dodge Charger rides on custom HRE 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch wheels at the rear, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. SpeedKore proudly states on Facebook, “This one is for you, three-pedal heroes!”
