Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker reached out to the family of the deceased Chiefs fan who attended the Super Bowl parade. Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a Kansas City radio D.J. and devoted follower of Harrison Butker, was tragically shot and killed during the incident, which also left 22 other fans injured at the rally.
Lopez-Galvan had attended the event on February 14 wearing a jersey with Butker’s name. Following her untimely death, her family expressed their wish to lay her to rest in the same jersey. As a result, efforts were made to contact Butker and share their request.
Upon learning of the late D.J.’s admiration, Butker reached out to the family and provided them with a jersey. Along with the gesture, Butker expressed his deep sadness over the tragic loss of Lopez-Galvan. Her funeral will be held at McGilley Memorial Chapel-Midtown on February 23.

Butker’s statement stated the following:
“My wife, Isabelle, and I are devastated by the senseless murder of Lisa. Murder is a heinous act that calls for divine justice, and I pray that those responsible for this tragedy will be held accountable.
“Learning that she was a fan of my vocal support for our shared Catholic Faith makes this loss even more personal. It is an honor for me to provide her family with a jersey for her to be laid to rest in. While the family mourns their loss and copes with their injuries, I will continue to pray for their healing and for Lisa’s soul to find peace.”
