Hannah Greenemeier has joined the 2024 SRO GT4 lineup of the Heart of Racing team. Greenemeier will team up with Hannah Grisham in the No. 26 Aston Martin Vantage for the upcoming Pirelli GT4 America season in the AM category. In the Pro/Am category, Roman De Angelis and Gray Newell will once again partner on the No. 24 Aston Martin Vantage. Additionally, Newell will also compete in the GT America powered by AWS in the No. 25 Aston Martin Vantage.
Greenemeier, a native of Colorado, made history in 2021 as the first female to win the X-30 ProTour Championship class in karting’s SKUSA. She is now looking forward to her sports car debut in the Pirelli GT4 America season.
Expressing her excitement, Greenemeier said, “Receiving the call from the team to join the Heart of Racing for the 2024 season was an incredible moment for me. Being able to drive for a successful team means a lot to both me and my family. I’m eager to start the season with the team in April at Sonoma. Although I have much to learn about sports car racing, I’m confident that with the support of my co-driver, Hannah Grisham, and the entire team, I will quickly adapt. I would like to express my gratitude to Gabe, the Bernier family, Ian, Paul, and everyone else on the team for this amazing opportunity.”
Grisham, who was selected from the team’s 2022 all-female shootout, will be returning to the Heart of Racing team for her second year after completing her first Pirelli GT4 America season in 2023. She is looking forward to the upcoming season with a stronger foundation and experience gained from her previous year.
Expressing her anticipation, Grisham said, “I’m extremely excited to continue with the Heart of Racing for a second year in GT4 America. With a year of experience and familiarity with most of the tracks, I have a better understanding of my competition and our Aston Martin Vantage. My goal for this year is to achieve strong and consistent finishes, and hopefully be in a position to compete for the championship towards the end of the season. I believe that Hannah Greenemeier and I can accomplish this, and I’m eager to start working with her in April at Sonoma.”
In addition to the above, De Angelis will be competing alongside Newell in the Pirelli GT4 America. De Angelis, a regular in the team’s No. 27 Aston Martin Vantage in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, is excited to join forces with Newell again. The duo had a successful 2023 season, securing three wins in the Pro/Am category and finishing third in the season finale.
Expressing his happiness, De Angelis said, “I’m thrilled to be back with Gray, competing in the GT4 Pro/Am class with the Heart of Racing. I had a great time there last year, and teaming up with Gray again, who continues to improve every weekend, gives us a strong chance at race wins and hopefully a Pro/Am championship.”
Newell, on the other hand, will be starting his fourth season in GT America powered by AWS while also fulfilling his duties in the Pirelli GT4 America. Last season, Newell achieved two pole awards in GT America powered by AWS and finished the season with five podium finishes.
The SRO America season will commence on April 5-7 at Sonoma Raceway, featuring both Pirelli GT4 America and GT America powered by AWS.
