Marc Marquez of Gresini Ducati emerged as the fastest rider in the final MotoGP practice session at Jerez, despite unexpected wet weather disrupting the teams’ plans for qualifying. Marquez clocked a lap time of 1.48.183s, with VR46 rider Fabio Di Giannantonio close behind, trailing by 0.076s. Most riders took the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the track conditions and gather important data in case of wet conditions during the later Sprint race. Marquez continued to dominate the session, consistently posting the fastest laps. However, Jorge Martin faced a setback as his visor came off at the start, forcing him to return to the pits and hindering his adaptation to the damp track surface. Francesco Bagnaia, the leader of Free Practice Two, encountered difficulties throughout the session but managed to secure a strong third-place finish. Raul Fernandez and Miguel Oliveira of Trackhouse Aprilia initially held high positions but ended up in fourth and sixth place, respectively, with Maverick Vinales in between. Pedro Acosta, riding in wet conditions for the first time on a MotoGP bike, emerged as the leading KTM rider, followed by Franco Morbidelli of Pramac and Alex Marquez of Gresini. Aleix Espargaro rounded off the top 10, with a close five-rider chain of Ducati and factory KTM riders following closely behind. Marco Bezzecchi led this group. Dani Pedrosa and Jack Miller finished just behind Martin, with Enea Bastianini, the factory Ducati rider, trailing behind them. Fabio Quartararo continued to struggle with his Yamaha, even in the changing wet weather, finishing 17th and 1.527s behind the leader. Johann Zarco once again claimed the lead among the Honda riders, while test rider Stefan Bradl comfortably finished ahead of Joan Mir and Luca Marini, who finished 21st and last, respectively. Alex Rins, who led the Japanese marque in the previous practice session, had to settle for 19th place. Brad Binder of KTM narrowly missed out on Q2 after a late crash and settled for 20th place, unable to achieve consistent lap times. Lorenzo Savadori struggled and could only push his Aprilia bike to 22nd place.
