The Phoenix Suns made the selection of Devin Booker as the 13th overall pick during the 2015 NBA Draft. Given his draft position, not many had high expectations for Booker’s NBA career. Nevertheless, over the past nine years, Booker has exceeded all set expectations. In fact, he is currently considered one of the top players in his position throughout the league. While Booker possesses numerous skills, his remarkable scoring ability stands out as his greatest asset. Speaking of scoring, Booker recently ascended to the second position on the Suns’ all-time scoring leaders list. Upon achieving this remarkable milestone, Booker expressed his reaction through Duane Rankin’s tweet. Booker struggled to find the right words to convey his joy in reaching this milestone. Currently, Booker has accumulated 13,918 points and holds the second spot on the Suns’ all-time scoring leaders list. Given that he is only 27 years old, it would not be surprising if Booker eventually claims the number one position on the list. At present, Walter Davis holds the record with 15,666 career points while playing for the Suns. As mentioned earlier, Booker is on track to surpass that record unless he chooses to depart from the team in the future. Despite his individual brilliance, Booker has not achieved much success in the playoffs during his time with the Suns, aside from their NBA Finals run in 2021.
